Laundry Attendant/Breakfast Attendant
Job Posting for Laundry Attendant/Breakfast Attendant at Best Western Clearlake Plaza
Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Must report to scheduled shift
- Must be flexible on workdays and hours. Scheduled shift work days and hours may vary based on daily hotel occupancy
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to hotel standards
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers and dryers
- Inspect linens for stains, tears, and damage
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area
- Stock housekeeping carts
- Ensure guest rooms and common areas (lobby, fitness center, breakfast area, pool area, public bathrooms, etc) are clean and meet hotel standards
- Vacuum, wipe counters, remove garbage in the back breakroom and lobby
- Prepare and setup food/items for breakfast
- Replenish breakfast and stock items as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations
- After breakfast is over, properly handle food and clean up and wash dishes
- Remove garbage from rooms, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, etc
- Change linens and towels and replace toiletries
- Periodic deep cleaning of rooms and other areas of the hotel
- Perform other duties as requested by Management
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of proper food and laundry handling and care techniques
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards
- Experience in housekeeping a plus
Skills:
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
