What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Accounting Part Time position at BEST WESTERN Gateway Grand?

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports for the company
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations, new hire processing
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience in accounting or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Solid understanding of financial acumen and corporate finance principles
- Familiarity with accrual accounting concepts and practices
- Ability to perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
