What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiation Safety Specialist position at Bestica Inc.?
Full Time: Hours 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday (excluding Federal Holidays). Alternate hours can be designated.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration or organizational management
- A minimum of 24 months of experience is mandatory working in the military and/or VA healthcare system.
- Experience must include assignments in such activities as radiation claims management, management of radioactive material permits or licenses, management of radioactive material and radioactive wastes; personnel monitoring and exposure assessments; conducting radiological protection surveys; or supervision and direction of the Health Physics Programs.
- Experience with compliance and implementation of current federal regulations and consensus standards related to ionizing radiation protection, to include Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (Energy) (10 CFR), 2 CFR 200.79, and the HIPAA.
- Must have expert experience with Microsoft applications, including Word®, Excel®, Outlook® and PowerPoint®, and have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with the U.S. Air Force, and particularly working in headquarter staff environments.
- Familiarity with USAF organization and structure.
- It is preferred that the contractor have a historical understanding of the nuclear weapons enterprise and broken arrow events.
