Position Overview:
The Category Manager role within BestWorth is a key role in leading our strategic growth of our overall Architectural Business. This role is responsible for driving Awareness and Solutions that deliver our overall Gross Profit Dollars and Gross Margin goals across the Architectural channels that BestWorth participates. As a critical point-of-contact and while actively representing BestWorth, this role must adhere to and model BestWorth’s CORE VALUES.

Responsibilities:
- Overall Gross Profit Dollars and gross margin for category sales to plan for our
Architectural channels.
- Responsible for overall steering of project selection and support.
- Provide project design experience and oversight as needed to support sales.
- Provide Estimating experience and oversight as needed to drive efficiency and win rates across our sales efforts.
- Estimating overflow as directed by Senior Director of Development
- Serves as the Technical Support for all departments as well as the ongoing education and training of internal staff.
- Serves as the primary contact for all inbound sales and program opportunities and steers them to the appropriate person for follow up.
- Works closely with R&D and Operations in the design, development and deployment of customer driven concepts and solutions
- Responsible for the development and documentation of BestWorth’s proprietary product offerings (systems) within their area of responsibility
- Support product innovation and R&D as needed
- Responsible to be the organizational expert on competitive landscape and trends in materials and designs within their area of responsibility.
- Responsible for BestWorth’s presence, activity, staffing and support of industry events and trade shows.
- Owner of the annual Marketing plan for said category, budget, and performance.
- Develops and executes the organizational strategy regarding Influencers/Architects.
- Retain and grow supplier relationships.
- Participate in on-going training opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Superior Customer Service with a drive to serve customers and staff.
- CRM software work experience.
- Operated within a scales ERP based work environment.
- Commercial construction, manufacturing, and fabrication knowledge.
- Knowledge or ability to understand sales performance metrics with an affinity for data/analytics.
- Performance oriented and driven to exceed goals and expectations.
- Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced and aggressive growth environment.
- Strong team orientation while being self-motivated with high initiative, excellent communication, creative problem-solving skills.
- Process driven with strong follow through and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and other documents providing written direction regarding customer needs and product/process specifications.
- Basic understanding of lean principles with ability to grow knowledge and expertise.
- Attention to detail and high-quality standards.
- Computer skills which allow you to utilize keyboards, computers, and related technology to complete job-related tasks.
- MS Office / basic understanding of email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to multi-task, manage, organize, and prioritize.
- Reading Comprehension-Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Speaking-Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Writing-Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- English Language-Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to travel, sometimes with short notice, 50% of the time. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The person must be able to set-up or tear-down trade shows booth displays and/or items with the ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery including, but not limited to, a copy machine or computer printer.
