Overview:
The BET team is seeking an experienced and hard-working Director of Marketing. We are looking for someone to lead development and execution of marketing strategies, to drive brand awareness of the BET streaming service and key shows. Our goal is to acquire new subscribers and engage existing BET subscribers.
Key focus areas for the role include driving brand management of the BET brand and building high impact, integrated show marketing launch plans. This includes insights, media strategy, creative executions, digital marketing, experiential, and performance research. The role will also have a tight-knit collaboration with content talent and play an integral role in developing bold and exciting ideas to further build the BET and Master BET brand on a local, national, and global basis.
The ideal candidate will be an expert media and entertainment and digital marketing professional with strong analytical, cross-functional leadership, media, and campaign management skills. We seek someone who has an innovative and curious nature, as well as the ability to solve problems creatively and independently. They will be welcomed to a strong and dynamic team that is focused on efficient work that drives impact.

Come join our growing team! Responsibilities:
Develop and implement high impact brand strategies designed to acquire and engage subscribers and grow BET and BET brand health and love
Develop and lead execution of marketing campaigns in collaboration with platform partners, talent, and cross-functional teams across subject areas (Brand Creative, On-Air, Digital, Social, Press/Special Events, etc.)
Partner with Research, Programming, Digital, and other applicable departments to analyze performance, monitor partnership investment for improvements ensuring overall Return On Investment goals are being met
Develop marketing briefs by compiling research, insights and competitive analysis
Brief, handle and collaborate with agency partners to build fully integrated campaigns across all platforms and touchpoints including digital, TV, out-of-home, radio and experiential that are efficient and effective
Attend and complete on-site marketing events as needed in support of consumer marketing initiatives
Budget tracking for campaigns and initiatives
Imagine, test, and iterate new brand promotional tactics across owned platforms, existing third-party platforms, and emerging channels
Lead, coach and manage the marketing team
Stay abreast of television and media landscape developments by monitoring trade publications and meeting with industry and product guides Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of experience in TV and/or film marketing, advertising, or media strategy and premium cable / streaming experience preferred Additional Qualifications:
Strong analytic skills and ability to operate as a brand owner
Ability to effectively project manage and navigate in a highly matrixed organization
Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
Able to take initiative, operate with ambiguity and adapt to a dynamic environment
Strong cross functional leadership and interpersonal skills
Effective problem-solver with “can-do” mentality
Well-organized with a strong ability to prioritize and a master at multi-tasking
