BETA is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Public Affairs team to support the development and growth of BETA’s communications strategy. You will be responsible for helping to craft, refine, and execute this strategy while supporting projects across public affairs - including internal communications, government relations, events, community relations, and other verticals.

This role will involve close collaboration with various teams across the organization to help properly convey our progress and unique position in the industry to the media, as well as key commercial, government, regulatory, and local stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to develop an understanding of the technology BETA is creating, and clearly communicate its potential and nuance to external audiences.

To succeed in this position, excellent communication, writing skills, and the ability to work at a fast pace are required, as is a team-player attitude that will allow you to thrive in a highly collaborative environment.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Assist in refining and executing BETA’s overarching media and communications strategy
  • Assist in creating and executing external affairs initiatives, including news announcements, social media content generation, news coverage dissemination, physical events, media interactions, and more.
  • Writing and editing copy on a daily basis for a variety of uses and audiences.
  • Planning, supporting, and executing event-based needs for the public affairs department, as well as other core business units.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:

  • 2-3 years experience in a communications, public affairs, or similar role
  • Experience working with media
  • BA/BS in a relevant field
  • A proven track record of writing and editing concise, well-constructed copy for diverse audiences
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
