What are the responsibilities and job description for the Art Specialist position at Beth El Day Camp?
The Art Specialist will assume the following responsibilities:
- Develop art curriculum and differentiate art activities for a range of age groups and abilities (ages 2-8).
- Order materials for art activities.
- Create and distribute "Art Boxes" for each group to have in their cabana during the summer.
- Set up art room and maintain its cleanliness and organization throughout the summer.
- Supervise Art Assistant.
- Set up art display at Parent Festivals.
- Submit 1-2 short articles for Day Camp Bugle e-newsletter.
- Neatly pack up and take inventory of art materials at the end of summer session.
- Prepare a short presentation about the art program and your expectations of the staff at staff orientation.
- Attend staff orientations prior to Day Camp opening.
Hours: 8:20 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
Bi-Weekly Staff Meetings at 7:45am
Summer session dates: June 24 - Aug 16, 2024
Salary Range: $5,000 to $8,000 commensurate with experience
