SUMMARY: The CUA Well-Being Specialist works with the Intervention Team providing supportive services to the Case Management Team ensuring that children in care are receiving timely medical, dental and therapeutic care as needed an identified via the DHS practice guidelines and the specific need of each child individually as their specific well-being providers prescribe.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Obtain medical history and complete Basic Health Information form within 30 days of referral for all children and youth. Update annually or as needed.

Ensure that children and youth receive all required immunizations, medical/dental examinations, and treatment as specified in the CUA Practice Guidelines.

Ensure that parents follow medical treatment plans and dispense any medications appropriately.

Ensure that children and youth have medical insurance.

Ensure that all children and youth involved with the CUA receive timely medical, dental, and behavioral health examinations and interventions. Medical and dental appointments must be completed at the prescribed intervals.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- At least two years experience involving children, youth, and families
- Knowledge of child and family service systems and community resources is preferred or experience working in the health care field.
- Valid, timely Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI clearances that meet all regulatory requirements.
- Good oral and written communications skills in English.
