Summary

The assistant teacher provides the children in their classroom the best quality care by maintaining licensing, PQA, and health and safety standards. Implements Creative Curriculum and supports all areas of development. Supports the lead teacher by planning, preparing, and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and routines daily. Executes a growing and empowering ministry for our BKLC children and families. Has an an active relationship with Jesus and supports the ministry at Bethany Assembly of God church. Performs all duties by following are F.E.A.R.L.E.S.S acronym.

Leadership Growth Expectations

• Participate in training opportunities & conferences as offered or requested by the Director.
• Participates in any leadership training the Director request.

Schedule (Full Time)

• 5 days per week. Occasional after school hour trainings and room setups.
• Attend weekly team meetings and monthly staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Support the vision of Bethany Kids Learning Center through ministry to kids from birth to 12 years old.
• Implement Creative Curriculum.
• Maintain quality care by implementing all licensing, PQA, and health and safety standards.
• Plan, prepare, and implement developmentally appropriate activities and routines daily.
• Maintain and keep Infant/Toddler and Preschool environments organized and clean(including storage spaces).
• Be willing to cover when other team members are gone.
• Daily communication to families.
• Consistant social meda post.
• Provide support and encouragement to all of the BKLCTeam.
• Attend meetings hosted by the Director
• Assist with or lead any BKLC projects or events.
• Run errands as needed for BKLC. 
• Help plan and implement our annual summer camp, Christmas and graduation programs, field trips, and class parties.
• Remain professional at all times.
• Positive attitude.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Director.

Performance Measurements 

• Performance will be measured based on staff core values. Fun, Execution with Excellence, Awareness, Relearn, Love People, Encourage, Serve, Spirt Led. 
• At least one annual performance evaluation will be performed, along with goals set for the upcoming year.
