What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Bethany Church?
Teacher needed for a part-time Christian Preschool. We operate during the school year - August to mid May. Limited hours in June and July. You will be working with children who are 4 and 5 years old. Monday - Friday 8 am to 1 pm. Teaching 4 days a week and planning 1 day a week. Afternoon hours three days a week are an option.
- Experience in a daycare, preschool, or early elementary-age classroom
- Experience teaching a Christian curriculum is preferred
- CDA, associate or higher education degree
- Must have a great love and patience for children
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Assist children in developing social, and emotional skills & build self-esteem
- Will communicate with parents regularly
- Collaborate with other teachers
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Prepare curriculum
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.25 per hour
