Job Summary: The Recreation Assistant works directly with residents with such love, acceptance, friendliness and compassion that residents are invited to live their lives in fullness; they develop activity programs based on resident’s interests, strengths and needs; they conduct activities in an atmosphere of warmth, success, encouragement and joy.
Hours of Work: Day shift, 8:00am to 4:30pm, as scheduled during the week. Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
Dress code: Street clothing appropriate in a professional business environment with identification name badge.

Preferred Experience and Education: Preferred to have previous work with geriatrics or people with disabilities; previous work in a long-term care, healthcare setting. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
