JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A bachelors or associates degree in business management, human resources, psychology or equivalent.
Experience:
- Teaching/training experience is preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is helpful

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of your job position is to
- Conduct General Orientation
- Coordinate recruitment and hiring
- Facilitate Worker’s Compensation/Employee injury program
- Oversite of Corporate Compliance and Safety Program
- Lead Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Orientation
- Plan, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization’s orientation and education program based on identified resident needs, nursing assistant needs, other staff needs, and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Orient new personnel.
- Develop and implement the mandatory annual education program for all staff. (Mandatory Extravaganza)
- Ensure that personnel attend and/or receive the annual education requirements.
- Maintain current education records.
- Monitor trainees to ensure they are following established policies and procedures.
- Establish the TB Mantoux testing and record keeping protocols for all employees.
- Establish the Hepatitis B vaccination record keeping maintaining compliance.
- Maintain Employee Health records.
- Develop an annual schedule of education and training for personnel to maintain competence of all staff.
- Work in conjunction with other departments in development of training and on-going skills review.
Recruitment/Hiring
- Coordinate with Marketing Director for recruitment of jobs on social media sites.
- Coordinate with Department Managers for recruiting, interviewing, hiring processes. of new employees.
- Attend job fairs and other recruitment/staff development/human resources programs.
- Standardize recruitment and interviewing processes.
- Conduct new hire references according to policy.
Safety
- Ensure safety of residents and staff by working in conjunction with Department Supervisors.
- Follow-up with Departments that plans of correction are in place.
- Conduct monthly Safety Meetings and keep meeting minutes.
- Conduct monthly fire drills according to state and federal regulations.
Worker’s Compensation/Employee Injury
- Submit Employee Accident/Incident forms to appropriate departments.
- File injury reports to Worker’s Compensation Company within 3 business days.
- Contact injured employee to ensure proper procedure if followed. Provide necessary paperwork.
- Work in conjunction with Department Supervisor for modified duty needs.
- Track employee follow-up appointments for updates to duty status.
- Ensure facility is in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Keep policies and procedures up to date.
- Inform HR of any employee unable (medical provider authorized) to return to work for 7 or more days.
- Complete OSHA injured employee logs 300 and 301 according to OSHA regulations.
Corporate Compliance
- Supports departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data of various departments.
- Provides administrative support by implementing systems, procedures, and policies.
- completing projects in support of compliance auditors.
