About the Role
 
We are seeking an experienced Internal Communications Sr. Specialist who will own the day-to-day management of our internal communications content and channels to keep our employees informed, engaged, and aligned with company goals and initiatives.
 
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, sitting within BetMGM’s People Team.
 
This role will be responsible for managing our internal communications calendar; identifying, creating, and curating content for publication across internal communications channels (e.g., employee newsletter and intranet); and supporting the Senior Manager, Internal Communications in the development and distribution of other internal communications materials. This role will closely partner with employees from across the organization to source relevant and timely stories, news, and updates and will act as an internal advisor, providing guidance on processes, best practices, and internal voice and style.
 
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to identify and curate relevant, engaging stories, news, and information to share across internal communications channels for employee audiences.
  • Create clear and engaging written and visual content, including PPT slides, graphics, photography, feature articles, newsletter highlights, emails, scripts, and other materials, tailored for various internal communications channels.
  • Develop and manage the internal communications calendar to plan and coordinate the delivery of internal communications content and materials.
  • Write, edit, and distribute the weekly employee newsletter.
  • Support the maintenance of our company-wide intranet, including updating content, publishing news stories and features, and providing guidance to content owners.
  • Support planning and production of weekly all-hands meetings.
  • Draft email communications and other written communications materials in support of the Senior Manager, Internal Communications.
  • Manage email distribution and maintain contact lists.
  • Review and revise content for clarity, grammar, punctuation, style, and tone to ensure alignment with internal style guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal collaborators on processes and best communication practices. Edit and review communications as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze feedback and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the Senior Manager, Internal Communications on various company-wide, time-sensitive, and/or strategic projects.
Qualifications  
  • Bachelor's degree or in communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications or related field, preferably at a startup or high-growth company.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences, following the company’s internal brand guidelines.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using internal communications tools and platforms, such as intranet platforms, M365, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Video editing experience a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of internal communications best practices.
Licensing Requirements
 
As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations.  Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies.  Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment.  Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus
