About the Role
The Project Manager role will play a key role in the BetMGM Project Management organization, leading strategic initiatives and a variety of large-scale programs and projects across BetMGM.
Using your strong process and planning skills, you will manage projects like new state launches for our Retail and/or Mobile technologies, Operational Optimization or Compliance focused projects. The main focus will be new states launches but projects can vary based on business demand. This role provides a unique way to get exposure to a variety of business areas and learn about the Sportbetting business in a holistic way.
The Project Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders to create project plans, ensure delivery against plan, resolves risks and issues as the arise and effectively communicates progress, risks and issues to senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have strong multi-tasking skills and an ability to plan/prioritize a changing workload within a fast-paced environment while dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Creates the program and project governance structures from scratch
- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet needs and requirements
- Identifies resources needed and assigns responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a projects to ensure delivery within scope, budget and time
- Creates project deliverables including status reports, communication plans, risk plans and other related documents
- Effectively communicates status updates and relevant information to internal and external stakeholders and senior management
- Facilitates and guides the project teams effectively
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
- Sets and manages stakeholder expectations
- Inspires co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence
- Complies with and effectively applies project management methodology and enforces project standards
Education
- Bachelor’s degree
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in a project management
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environment and large, established company
- Experience managing large scale projects with multiple streams, internal and external partners and across multiple time zones and cultures
- Knowledge and/or exposure to the SDLC process
- Experience working external partner casinos (tribal and non-tribal)
- Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with external partners
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and possess a holistic business view
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Pro-active and can-do approach to problem solving
- Experience in Gaming preferred
- Experience with Smartsheet
Additional Requirements
- Required to be physically in the office 2-3 days a week, starting Jan 2022
