Position Overview:
Reporting to the Brand Manager, BetterLifes Freelance Writer develops original content for business publications and websites. In this role, excellent writing skills are required to lead various projects. The Freelance Writer creates and writes engaging content that aligns with our brand strategy, addresses the needs and interests of our members, and attracts potential new members. In this role, the Freelance Writer will collaborate with marketing team members to develop content for special projects and strategic initiatives.
What youll do:
- Research and write high-quality magazine articles, letters, blog posts, emails, product marketing materials, etc.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and readability
- Tell the story of BetterLife, our employees, and our members in ways that expand our brand presence, educates and engages the public, and helps achieve our goals

What you should bring to the table:
- A bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- One to three years of freelance experience.
- Samples of completed and/or published work
- Excellent communication and editing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid time management practices and ability to meet deadlines
- Capacity to work with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated, disciplined work ethic
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn technology skills such as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Wrike Project management software; Constant Contact, HubSpot; website creation platforms.
- Highly developed attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.

Work Location: Onsite or remote opportunity is available for the qualified candidate.
Physical requirements: This position is performed in an office environment (could be done remotely) and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Individuals must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
