Member Engagement Specialist

BetterLife’s Member Engagement Specialist will play a pivotal role in implementing a variety of innovative initiatives and programs aimed at fostering member engagement and creating a positive impact in their communities.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Support our vibrant community-based network of member groups by assisting leaders with invitations, logistics, materials, and tracking participation.

• Play a key role in the creation of our quarterly member magazine and monthly communications, actively engaging with members to generate content ideas and assisting in drafting member articles.
• Oversee inventory and supplies for member events and activities, ensuring seamless execution.
• Plan, execute, and contribute to the management of large-scale member events.
• Gather and analyze member data, actively enhancing reporting systems to provide valuable insights.
• Assist in the development and research of new member programs, contributing to the continuous growth and improvement of our offerings.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 2-3 years of professional experience in marketing, volunteer coordination, and event management.

• Comfortable using a wide range of computer programs and a willingness to learn new technologies (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

• Able to handle stress and remain calm and maintain a member-service mindset.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.

• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours during events.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and data analytics is a plus.

This position requires up to 20% travel.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position is performed in an office environment (after training could be hybrid) and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Individuals must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
