Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Location: The Woodlands, TX                                    

Amount of Travel Required: 25%

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Overtime as needed)

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), will be integral in aligning our human resources initiatives with organizational objectives to drive business success. This role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into effective HR strategies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")

  • Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
  • Leverages HRIS analytics to report on, manage metrics, and drive business outcomes.
  • Provides performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Handling and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective employee investigations.
  • Performs coordination, direction and supervision of human resources services functions in the such areas as recruitment, selection, corrective actions and disciplinary activities and performs required tasks in the area of implementation and maintenance of HRIS.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Handling and processes HRIS actions, including but not limited to: creation/modification of employee records due to transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related legal documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reason behind resignation/termination and notifies employee with severance details if applicable.
  • Answers routine questions from employees and applicants about employment procedures and policies, benefits and other HR-related topics
  • Communicates with other employees, departments, administrators, applicants, and the public for the purpose of providing information and assistance concerning employment, recruitment, transfers, personnel records, and leaves, licenses and related legal requirements.
  • Develops a wide variety of written materials (e.g., letters, forms, procedures, brochures, pamphlets, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

 

Qualifications


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully passes pre-employment background screenings.
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Daily in-person, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, experience may be used in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of 3-7 years of human resource management and/or progressive talent acquisition experience required, ideally with exposure to the oil and gas or manufacturing sectors.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
  • Paycom experienced highly desirable.

  • High proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, demonstrating keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

 

 

 

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The HRBP works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, the HRBP may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, the HRBP should be able to lift 25 lbs. independently

 

Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
