The assistant principal, working under the general direction of the principal, will be responsible for an equal share of the general administrative duties required to effectively and efficiently operate a high school within the context of a team approach. Included in the responsibilities of this position are staff and teacher evaluations, monitoring of progress for assigned students, student discipline and supervision, help with inventory, school buses and transportation, budget responsibilities, hall and cafeteria monitoring program, and other responsibilities as assigned by the principal. This position will also require particular background in and knowledge of issues related to special education and the background to assist that department.
