Position Summary

The Driver is responsible for the timely and safe

transportation and activities and to other events outside of the norm

responsible for maintaining the vehicles assigned.

Essential Duties

1. Picks up and delivers residents on regular

assigned, and valet transportation routes.

2. Provides valet duties as assigned and outlined in Resident Guide (silver polishing, working in

gardens, painting, cleaning, washing and waxing resident car

3. Makes miscellaneous trips for the office to the bank, printer, post office, accountant ect.

Qualifications

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple

arithmetic. Must possess a valid North Carolina Commercial Drivers license and possess a good driving

record. Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with the residents at all

times. Must submit to a drug screen at time of employment, and at least every other year thereafter.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Good working conditions, exposed to varying degrees of noise, dust, heat, cold, rain and fumes. Light

physical effort frequently moving light materials, including luggage, under 50 pounds and assisting

residents on and off the bus. Work involves the use of a vehicle. Random drug testing will be

performed semi-annually as required by the Federal Highway Administration, and in the event of any

accident involving a company vehicle. Work schedule may be varied, depending on transportation / valet

services required
