Job Summary:
Act as the Facilities Management group’s Facility Manager Project Coordinator for work performed on facilities, equipment, and underground in order to deliver services on behalf of Newmark and Dow Work Place Services. This position is accountable for performing all assigned duties, in an effective and professional manner, and must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to perform all essential functions corresponding to routine services including but not limited to:
Essential Job Duties:
- Develop project scope, material list, resource needs, time line, quality tests, permits, and cost estimates for emergency repairs, upgrades, and larger equipment replacements.
- Present project details to management for approval and provide updates throughout the project life.
- Obtain quotes and request purchase orders
- Follow management of change documentation throughout the project
- Ensure project deliverables meet client and company objectives through site inspections.
- Maintain client schedule and budget objectives through proactive reviews and probes of potential project issue areas such as long-lead equipment, resource constraints, etc.
- Review and update prints as necessary
- Issue and monitor Safe Work Permits for suppliers, adhering to Newmark and Dow EH&S requirements
- Ensure all contractors have the required safety training prior to working onsite
- Abide by all site emergency plans and procedures
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
- Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
- Update equipment and facility documentation at the completion of the project.
- May perform other duties as assigned
Skills, Education and Experience:
- High School or GED Equivalent
- 1 years of relevant facility construction/support experience
- Demonstrated working ability with Word, Excel and web-based applications
- Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and routine reports and correspondence
- Must be able to prioritize and organize multiple simultaneous tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Able to properly handle proprietary information
- Requires attention to detail
Certificates & Licensure:
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Lockout / Tagout certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire if not available)
- Confined Space certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire if not available)
