This includes but is not limited to preparing bid documents, advertising bids, conducting bid openings and tabulating bids, administering contracts and maintaining records. A successful Contract Administrator will demonstrate a strong attention to detail associated with the preparation and execution of construction contract documents. Additional responsibilities may include assisting other departments and outside offices with construction contract preparation and bids as needed and assisting the Land Development Department Administrative Assistant as necessary.List of Responsibilities:Advertising ProjectsPreparing Bid Documents for biddingCivCast (Maintenance and updates of BGE Jobs)Issuing AddendaReceiving Bids, Bid Opening, Preparation of Bid Tabulations & AwardingPreparation of Contract Documents to the awarded contractorCirculating contracts for executionFinal Distribution of Executed ContractsPreparing submittals to the Texas Commission on Environmental QualityOther Administrative duties, as required (Deliveries, Scanning, and Organizing files)Requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.Must be very detail-oriented and able to prioritize and schedule workload demands from numerous sources, demonstrate a thorough knowledge of office procedures, and work well with deadlines.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.Prefer previous experience in a Civil Engineering environment.Some administrative and/or contract administrator experience preferred, but not required.BGE is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
