POSITION TITLE: Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper (Part Time)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing our financial transactions, from accounts payable and receivable to bank reconciliations and payroll processing.
SCOPE OF ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Processing vendors' invoices and item receipts
· Billing and following up on accounts receivable
· Payroll processing
· Reconciling account balances
· Preparing and processing adjusting entries
· Federal, state, and local tax compliance
· Consolidate corporate credit card monthly statement by gathering receipts, match receipts to charges on statement, and inform cardholders of all missing receipts and request expense reports
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma, Associate's Degree preferred
· Account experience: 1 year
· Accounting Software experience (QuickBooks/Microsoft Dynamics): 1 year
· Previous accounts receivable experience and knowledge preferred
· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers, and/or vendors in a professional manner
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
