Job Description: Diagnostic Radiology Coordinator Baptist Health Louisville Job Summary: Under the direction of the Clinical Manager and Director, oversees the assigned sections of PACS, Diagnostic, Surgery and the clerical functions in the Radiology department. Responsibilities: The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time. Maintain a professional environment through a clean and orderly department, professional attire and personal actions. Conducts 90 day orientations and yearly evaluations. Creates and monitors staffing schedules for all assigned areas. Participates in various committees and meetings as assigned. Assesses various clinical areas daily within sections to insure adequate staffing levels. Informs the Clinical Manager and / or Director of staffing problems and difficulties. Evaluates and counsels employees regarding performance, conduct, attendance and other related matters. 7. Mediates problems and refers to Clinical Manager/Director any unresolved problems relating to staffing, morale, scheduling, salary adjustments, discipline, and other actions regarding assigned personnel. Performs direct patient care and radiological procedures when necessary. Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician and in accordance with department policy. Participates in in-service and training activities as needed. Keeps abreast of new procedures and participates in their evaluation and application. Recommends procurement of supplies, equipment, and area of modifications necessary for operation. Supervises Team Leaders, Lead Technologists, Technologists and ancillary personnel. Interact with management and radiologists to resolve immediate difficulties within the section. Interviews all potential applicants in the presence of another radiology management personnel. Handles all hiring aspects of chosen applicants. Requirements: Graduate from an approved program of Radiology Technology. Must be pursuing or have graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
