Exercise Physiologist Part Time Days

Job Description: Job Summary The Exercise Physiologist works with patients of all ages in the development of exercise prescriptions and protocols, exercise sessions, performance of exercise testing and monitoring of patients. The Exercise Physiologist provides advice in the selection, maintenance and use of exercise equipment and supervises exercise therapy. The Exercise Physiologist participates in the education of department personnel in exercise concepts and equipment use. Principal Duties and Responsibilities The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual’s job. They may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time. 1. Completes or participates in and documents an initial patient assessment. 2. Performs ongoing assessments according to standards of care and patient condition. 3. Develops or assists in the development of a plan of care. 4. Provides care according to policy and procedure. 5. Evaluates patient response to interventions. 6. Demonstrates organization skills in providing patient care. 7. Exhibits a professional practice, using positive interpersonal skills. 8. Demonstrates positive customer relations. 9. Employee demonstrates good attendance by arriving at work, when scheduled, no later than scheduled starting time. 10. Demonstrates proficiency in the skills specific to Cardiac Rehabilitation and/or Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required A. Degree or certification in cardiovascular clinical area or American College of Sports Medicine Clinical Track certification. B. BCLS C.
