Job Description: Job Description Full time, first shift JOB SUMMARY: The Histology Technician prepares portions of body tissue for microscopic examinations by embedding, cutting the tissue and mounting tissue on slides and staining with special dyes to make the details visible under microscope. The Histology Technician accesses and process body fluids and fine needle aspiration specimens to be read by the cytologist. The Histology Technician assists with Bone Marrow aspirations performed by physicians (primarily oncologists) and also with fine needle aspirations performed by pathologists and radiologists. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required, or higher.
