Job Description: Manager, Clinical Quality Job Summary: The Quality Manager functions in a leadership role to coordinate and supervise the operational activities of the Quality and Wound Ostomy Care staff. This position provides leadership and support to interdisciplinary team(s) in improving performance metrics and organizational goals while promoting collaboration, teamwork, and championing service excellence. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing clinical outcomes and performance improvement through various national databases. Ensures adherence to national industry standards and corporate standards of practice. Works closely with administration and physician leaders regarding clinical compliance and outcome issues. Assists the Vice President of Clinical Support Services in a supportive role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Demonstrates commitment to the Baptist Health System Mission, Vision and Core Values 2. Demonstrates commitment to the corporate compliance, quality, and philosophy of Baptist Health La Grange by maintaining established policies and procedures, organizational objectives, continuous quality improvement, and quality assessment and safety standards. 3. Displays a positive focus and effectiveness in building working relationships with the interdisciplinary team members 5. Participates in departmental/organizational educational requirements 6. Participates in meetings, reports and other administrative or collaborative activities as requested 7. Maintains patient privacy and protects hospital operations by keeping information confidential. 8. Maintains a professional working relationship with customers; Interacts with customers and co-workers with courtesy, clarity and respect. 9. Ability to empower staff, encourage, and facilitate team participation in decision-making process 10. Demonstrates and communicates a working knowledge and use of performance improvement principles and tools Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required: Graduate of approved nursing program holding a current Kentucky Registered Nurse License BSN required Five years of acute care experience required Minimum of two years of experience in Quality/Performance Improvement Experience with accreditation activities preferred Leadership/Supervisory experience preferred BCLS Certified CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) Certification preferred Membership/involvement in professional organization preferred If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!
