Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a Record Deficiency Analyst to join our team in New Albany, IN This position is responsible for quantitative and qualitative analysis of discharged patient’s medical records according to the Joint Commission (JC), Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), State and hospital standards. This position will be responsible for completion of deficiencies on all charts according to departmental policy and procedure and is responsible to promote corporate integrity through compliance with the BHS Corporate Responsibility Program. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required High school degree required. Certification as a Register Record Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Record Technician (RHIT) preferred. Formal education in HIM will be considered in lieu of experience. a. RHIA certification equates to 4 years of HIM work experience. b. RHIT certification equates to 2 years of HIM work experience. Two years minimum computer experience, with proficiency in data entry and basic MS Office applications including Word and Excel required. Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
