What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler I position at Biamp?
The role, at a glance:
The Production Scheduler I work’s as part of a team to ensure replenishment targets are met and inventory is in place to satisfy customer demand. This position will routinely partner with various Biamp departments, including Customer Service, Logistics, Production, and Purchasing to ensure demand fulfillment.
How you'll contribute:
- Work with Buyers and Production to identify and resolve gaps and shortages for upcoming replenishments.
- Work to monitor and optimize inventory levels for finished goods against service level agreements and customer orders.
- Input purchase orders in AX site that will generate customer orders in the sending sites/ locations.
- Identify actual and potential delivery issues: working with extended team to drive issues to resolution, partnering with our Logistics Operations team.
- Partner with the Customer Service group to correctly date customer orders and ensure those commitments are met.
- Act as a planning representative for new product introductions into the Australian site.
- As the Operations representative to Sales team.
- Additional duties as assigned by your manager.
A successful candidate should have:
- 1-3 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Operations role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications with advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
- Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and take direction from others.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High level of collaboration with internal customers required.
- Contribute to team effort by preforming other job-related tasks as needed; enabling others to achieve their job objectives.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and can work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methods.
Some nice-to-haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Work environment:
- This is an onsite position based in Tigard, OR.
- Standard business hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
- Routine use of standard office equipment.
- Prolonged standing or sitting.
