What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate II - Days position at Biamp?
Summary:
The Warehouse Associate II is responsible for packaging and preparing outgoing shipments, through coordination with internal teams, to ensure that demand is fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner, as well as receiving product on the dock. The Warehouse Associate II will work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Essential Functions:
- Transact customer orders using ERP system.
- Provide quality control inspections, as necessary, within the workflow.
- Pick product for shipping, ensuring all required items are picked and ready for packaging.
- Affix packaging labels to cartons.
- Receive product, processing into the system as well as unloading trailers.
- Take an accurate inventory count of finished goods and materials, as assigned.
- Identify and help solve problems as they arise.
- Process domestic and international shipments.
- Provide freight quotations to our internal customer service team.
- Assist with converting products into bundles, kits and re-packages.
Secondary Functions:
- Maintain good communication and rapport with co-workers.
- Ensure designated warehouse areas are kept organized and neat.
- Keep Lead and/or supervisor informed of issues on the warehouse floor.
- Be willing and able to answer questions from newer employees and show them the proper way to perform tasks.
- Function as Order Selector with minimal questions.
- Ability to perform Product Conversion functions without assistance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge and skills:
- 1-4 years of related experience in domestic and international shipping in an ERP System and/or Carrier platform.
- Must be able to obtain Forklift certification through Biamp within the first three months of employment
- Ability to adjust work pace in response to daily needs.
- Maintain good communication and rapport with co-workers.
- Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Able to recognize improvement opportunities and communicate them to their Lead.
- Ability to learn new software applications including navigating through ERP systems.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse and Manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. periodically with assistance.
- Stand or sit for long periods.
- Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bending.
- Use tools that require fine hand skills.
- Visually observe, and differentiate, small moving parts.
- Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas.
