What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Chaplain position at Bible Fellowship Church Homes Inc?
The role of the Chaplain is to assist in meeting the spiritual and emotional needs of residents in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Fellowship Manor as directed by the Administrator to assure that federal, state, and local regulations are met.
QUALIFICATIONS/CREDENTIALS
§ Must be an ordained minister, preferably with Bible Fellowship Church credentials.
§ Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Duties and Responsibilities
§ Work closely with Fellowship Manor Administration and department heads to determine appropriate Chaplaincy policies in order to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
§ Develop, implement, and maintain Chaplaincy procedures for Fellowship Manor.
§ Counsel residents concerning spiritual matters.
§ Cooperate with the Activities Director in coordination of religious services and events.
§ Participate in religious services and activities as necessary.
§ Service as a liaison with area clergy.
§ Communicate with resident's personal clergy where appropriate for Resident's benefit.
§ Cooperate with Social Services in the plan and practice of counseling for residents.
§ Participate in the formation and maintenance of care plans.
§ Communicate as needed with resident's families regarding matters of concern.
§ Communicate resident's concerns to appropriate facility staff.
§ Document activities with residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures to assure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
§ Provide in-service programs for employees.
§ Provide progress reports to the Administrator as requested.
§ Any other duty or responsibility assigned by the Administrator.
