The Sr. Capacity Planner manages production capacity across all categories for the NAM Co-Packing Network. This individual is responsible for the planning of finished goods from BIC’s co-packing facilities and/or third-party suppliers while maintaining service levels, optimizing capacity and inventory levels, and cost efficiencies. This key position ensures that product is available in the quantity and time needed to support customer demand while working cross functionally with other category members.  

 Main Responsibilities:  

• Manages and coordinates monthly capacity analysis across categories and communicates to key stakeholders to drive changes in capacity strategy, draw up forecasts based on future plans for demand with ability to shift volume between sites assets to protect service targets, and proactively identify cost efficiencies. 
• Synchronizes and optimizes the plan parameter settings that impact the plans performance and output of rough-cut capacity plan. This process requires advanced understanding of the system capabilities (JDA/Blue Yonder), industry best practices, and the business processes by analyzing the operations production process, tracking demonstrated rates and determining how to improve its system efficiency.
• Provides key inputs to the Annual Budget Process including projected production, co-packing movements, inventory, and service risks. 
• Gather, analyze, and make recommendations regarding performance data and measured outputs of the facilities to determine achievements and/or variances with production schedules and/or capacity performance and statistics.
• Ensures that the right resources are available internally when required to meet the customer volume demands.
• Generates a viable, executable Master Production Schedule (MPS) and executes BIC’s supply planning processes for 800 SKUs for US, Canada, and Oceania Human Expression Category by utilizing the planning platforms (JDA/BY and JDE). Responsible for item transition management, including forecast adjustments and billing ID maintenance. 
• Takes a proactive role in running scenarios to develop the lowest inventory position while maintaining customer service levels, prebuild requirements and capacity limitations due to seasonality for Human Expression category. 
• Ensures product availability by managing priorities to avoid out of stock, and proactively identifies and communicates supply issues as well as quantity and date of re-supply on daily back-order report.    
• Key player for the Back-to-School planning and execution process, including custom items and new products follow up. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or minimum of 6 years of applicable experience required 
• 3 years in supply planning, capacity analysis, and strategic planning in a high-volume consumer products company  
• 2 years in cross functional supply chain teams; including but not limited to, customer service, logistics, manufacturing 
• Proficient in advanced planning tools such as JDA, Blue Yonder and/or SAP-APO 
• High-level of influential change management skills required as this person will need to provide directions to supply planners to ensure the best overall capacity plan is achieved (often requiring planners to revise their plans)
• Advanced communication skills across various levels within the business, including but not limited to identifying risks that could precent the organization in meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns
• Must be skilled in Microsoft suite products; capability to generate advanced Excel models to analyze information (utilize pivots, formulas, and data sets)  
• Ability to manage to consensus across multiple stakeholders with competing objectives and to communicate proactively and effectively to build healthy working relationships 
• Ability to effectively communicate with various functions and levels within the organization 
• Ability to interpret data from multiple sources and evaluate for impact on supply planning 
• Should have the tenacity to provide a thorough situation analysis and strive for alternative recommendations 
• Ability to work independently to problem solve systems issues complex in nature 
• Knowledge in PowerBI is a plus
