Director of Digital Partnerships

Overview: 

We are seeking a driven and strategic individual to join Biden for President (BFP) as the Director of Digital Partnerships. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and collaborate with creators across various platforms to amplify Joe Biden's message and reach key voting blocs.

Your primary goal will be to leverage the power of creator and influencer marketing to drive awareness, engagement, and support for our campaign on a national scale. Join our team to play a crucial role in leveraging the power of creators and influencers to help us keep the faith and spread it.

• Identify and establish partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with creators and influencer agencies, acting as the primary point of contact to provide them with the necessary resources, information, and support to promote our campaign effectively.
• Lead an internal team: Manage an internal team of digital partnership coordinators, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure effective execution of partnership strategies and achievement of campaign goals.
• Develop partnership strategies: Create comprehensive strategies to engage publisher partners, including content collaborations, strategic campaigns, endorsements, and other innovative initiatives, to amplify Joe Biden’s message and reach voters. 
• Ensure that content and messaging align with our brand and campaign goals.Negotiate and manage contracts: Collaborate with partners as well as internal stakeholders to negotiate agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and deliverables. 
• Monitor and manage contract compliance throughout the partnership lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with the Paid Media, Rapid Response, Video, and Platforms teams – as well as other campaign departments – to align partnership activities with overall campaign objectives and messaging.
• Collaborate with states teams: Help shape partnerships strategy for states digital teams to pull from and adapt as would benefit their state-specific digital strategy, including local nano- and micro-influencers.
• Track and analyze performance: Monitor and analyze partnership performance, including audience growth, engagement metrics, and impact on campaign goals using Reach.
• Stay current with digital trends: Keep abreast of trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to identify new partnership opportunities and innovative strategies for reaching target audiences.
• Compliance and disclosure: Ensure that influencer partnerships comply with relevant legal and ethical guidelines, including FEC regulations for sponsored content, which is still currently evolving. Educate influencers on proper disclosure practices.
• Monitor competitor activity: Stay aware of opposition campaigns and partnerships to identify potential gaps or opportunities for ours.
• Other duties as assigned.

• You have 6-8 years of experience in influencer strategy/management for an electoral campaign, advocacy organization, or non-profit.
• You have deep knowledge and understanding of various digital channels, including social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, and digital advertising.
• You’re able to think outside the box to help lead Joe Biden’s online presence with an innovative and creative digital team.
• You have strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to drive mutually beneficial agreements with agencies and creators.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• You have strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• You’re able to work quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
• You are willing to relocate to the Wilmington, Delaware area.

• Experience managing consultants or vendors preferred.
• Experience managing staff preferred.
