What are the responsibilities and job description for the AS9100 Program Administrator position at Big City?
Under the direct supervision of the Quality Director, the AS9100 Program Administrator is responsible for maintaining the AS9100 Program and Supplier Management System.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintenance of the AS9100 Program
Includes document changes and document control
Monthly internal audits on closed jobs to check completion of routers, and in-process inspection documents.
Prepare monthly quality management review meeting data.
AS9100 Trainings
Supplier Related Activities
Supplier Questionnaires
Quarterly Supplier Report Cards
Supplier set-up including NDAs and surveys
Supplier KPI reporting (internal, external Key Process Indicators)
Manage Supplier Flow Downs
Record retention from the above supplier processes
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Internal audits
Reporting of internal issues to the Director
Other tasks as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- With limited supervision and quality work ethic, functions as a member of a customer-driven quality team whose goal is to ensure that product quality requirements established by the customer have been achieved.
- Ability to work directly with Quality Director to achieve department objectives.
- Holds oneself accountable for doing whatever is needed to meet the commitments made around project outcomes.
- Maintains adequate levels of performance and motivation despite job tasks that are routine or repetitive.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directives.
- Ability to work well under pressure, to adhere to deadlines and the ability to be flexible.
- Thorough operational knowledge and skills of specific equipment to be operated, including inspection equipment.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gages.
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints and be familiar with common machine tools.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate.
- Must use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Must have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Statistical Process Control, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Must be able to gain full knowledge of company systems, processes, and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of experience inspecting precision machined metal parts preferred.
- 5 years of experience programming inspection for precision machined parts on a CMM using Pc-DMIS preferred.
