POSITION:
Adult Substance Abuse Counselor-I
DUTIES SUMMARY:
The Substance Abuse Counselor I is a qualified staff member who is responsible for maintaining a caseload, conducting group facilitation, and individual sessions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Training and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in related field
- Minimum of three (3) years' work experience in the field of Substance Abuse/Mental Health
- Hawaii State Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification-required.
Requirements:
- Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance (within the last 12 months)
- Medical/Physical Clearance (within the last 12 months)
Ability/Knowledge/Skills:
- Advanced computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge and experience working with Electronic Health Records.
- Able to work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented, able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
