About Us
Big Sky Bravery is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 dedicated to serving active-duty Special Operations Forces through our Task Forces. Task Forces (weeklong programs) take place in Montana’s restorative surroundings. They are an all-expense paid, world-class experience that grants these individuals the rare opportunity to decompress, rediscover what was lost on the battlefield, and experience the hope and freedom they’re all fighting for.
Overview
The focus of this internship role is to support the development and operations teams through special projects and tasks.
Description of Role
Development Assistance
- CRM Support
- Enter in-kind donations into CRM
- Assist with CRM record updating
- Visit local businesses
- Assist Development Associate with community outreach across local businesses
- Visit local businesses to discuss specialty license plates
- Prospecting research and development assistance
- Shadow development team on donor calls and meetings as applicable, take notes, and support on follow-up tasks
- Attend development and operational weekly meetings
Operational / Event Assistance
- Silent auction coordination for 2024 Tribute Dinner (procure 50 items)
- Inventory past Tribute Dinner silent auction donations and ask donors for continued support
- Procure new silent auction items for 2024 event
- Create and distribute in-kind donation receipts for 2024 silent auction donors
- Attend community events as needed to represent BSB and support event lead-up efforts
Office Assistance
- Office and front management support
- Management of office inventory and recurring subscriptions
- Welcome all incoming visitors and notify team members of their visitors and appointments
- Assist with merchandise checkout
Incentive structure
Up to $2,000 bonus available at the end of the summer based on exit project outlined below.
- Exit project: Present something to the team that would help advance the flag and our mission. What ideas do you have that we could implement? The expectation is that this project will be worked on throughout the course of the internship.
- BSB team members will individually grade your project on a scale of 1-10, and your final grade will be an average of team scores. The bonus is dependent on the overall average score.
Compensation: $17 hourly, approximately 30 hours a week
