Job Overview:

As an Assistant Controller specializing at Concrete Placement, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing financial activities related to concrete placement projects. You will collaborate with the finance and project management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective cost control measures. Your primary focus will be on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring financial accuracy for concrete placement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis:

- Conduct financial analysis for concrete placement projects, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and profitability assessments.

- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project financial performance.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate and comprehensive budgets for concrete placement projects.

- Regularly update and review financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones.

3. Cost Control:

- Implement and monitor cost control measures to ensure projects stay within budget.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to enhance project profitability.

4. Financial Reporting:

- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for concrete placement projects.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in financial reporting.

5. Cash Flow Management:

- Monitor and manage cash flow for concrete placement projects to ensure adequate funding for ongoing operations.

- Work closely with project teams to address any cash flow challenges and implement solutions.

6. Collaboration:

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather financial data and insights.

- Communicate effectively with the finance team to ensure alignment with overall organizational financial goals.

7. Audit and Compliance:

- Assist in the preparation for financial audits related to concrete placement projects.

- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.

8. Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function, particularly related to concrete placement projects.

- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

9. Documentation and Record Keeping:

- Maintain accurate and organized financial records for concrete placement projects.

- Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and archived.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.

- Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control, preferably in the construction or concrete placement industry.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,602.00 per year
