Mental Health Counselor - Work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health and to assist the member in gaining resiliency and using the member’s own strengths to build upon. May help individuals deal with addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; suicidal ideation, self-harm; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging and mental and emotional health. Counselors with the ability and experience to work with co-occuring mental health and substance use disorders are highly desired.
Requirements for employment include: Must have one of the following: LCP, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAMFT. Master’s Degree or higher in human service field. Computer skills necessary to maintain member charts as well as written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to pass Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Criminal History Unit Enhanced background check. Expectations include the ability to provide direct therapeutic services to diverse individuals using evidence-based therapeutic models, maintain charts/files accurately, attend staff meetings, complete continued education requirements, assess and diagnose members, regular and predictable attendance, participate in a team atmosphere and complete other duties as assigned.
Hours will be determined at the time of hire. To be eligible for the company health insurance, all employee’s of Bigfoot Counseling, LLC, have to be assigned a minimum of twenty member hours per week.
