About the Role:
Bigge is looking for a staff accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate is an empathetic listener, detailed oriented, effective communicator, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the ability to work alongside other finance team members and business unit leaders to support Bigge’s culture of entrepreneurship with accurate data and insightful interpretations.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare, review, analyze and finalize numerous project job cost reports and report out budget variances to department leaders.
- Perform cost analysis and recommend opportunities to improve profit margins to the finance team and business units.
- Perform general ledger functions such as bank reconciliation, reconcile Balance Sheet accounts for a smaller entity.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure effective internal controls are in place for project job costing.
- Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting during the month-end close process.
- Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant education in similar field.
- CPA Preferred
- D365 F&O Experience Preferred
- 3 years of accounting experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest large amounts of data required.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Team player, work well independently while knowing when to speak up for help
- Self-starter and demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple, competing priorities.
