Position: Full-Time School Paraprofessional
Location: Northeastern Colorado BOCES
Start Date: Fall 2024
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher
- Supervise students during class, lunch, recess, and other activities
- Assist with classroom management and behavior reinforcement
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning and development
- Perform clerical duties as needed, such as grading, organizing materials, and maintaining records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree or higher preferred)
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students
