Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher
Location: Estes Park, CO
Start Date: Fall 2024
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide direct instruction to students in special education settings, adapting curriculum to meet their unique needs
- Differentiate instruction and provide accommodations and modifications to support student learning and success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students' academic and social-emotional needs are met
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student performance and progress towards IEP goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Colorado state teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for advocating for students with disabilities
