Scope

  • Responsible for working closely with functional leads to thoroughly ascertain business objectives and add value in formulating recommendations and developing creative solutions, while applying technology to exceed the expectations of these internal customers.
  • Serve as liaison between Systems and various business functions, develop and document functional specifications and software requirements and communicate them to the application development team.
  • Provide high-quality process and analysis to understand requirements and ensure that the Company utilizes available technology to its maximum potential.
  • Perform Quality Assurance testing post-development
  • Assist in the implementation of new software.
  • Must thrive in a fast paced, invigorating team environment, and be able to work both individually and as member of a cross-functional multi-Department/Division project team.
  • Achieved the ability to work independently on a project or task (i.e. meet with users and gather requirements without assistance)

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead discovery meetings with Subject Matter Experts to document business processes and functional requirements, develop detailed specifications, flowchart diagrams, etc.
  • Analyze functional requirements and evaluate suitability of packaged applications.
  • Review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging them.
  • Analyze functional requirements and develop Functional Requirement specifications, prototypes, Functional Documents, User Stories, Use Cases and Quality Assurance Test Scripts.
  • Participate in a scrum team, maintain product back-logs, and ensure user stories are well documented and understood by the team. Support the scrum team throughout the sprint lifecycle
  • Maintain continuous communication with Applications Development Teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure final deliverables meet established requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for new and modified system releases.
  • Development of end user manuals and instructional documentation.


Position Requirements
:

Core Competencies

  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both functional and technical personnel.
  • Thorough understanding of business processes and a firm grasp of business software capabilities and Software Development Life Cycle methodology.
  • Strong ability to interpret internal customers’ business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Able to develop relationships with internal customer base and advocate on their behalf.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analysis skill set within an enterprise environment.
  • Results-Oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with agile development model a plus.
  • Conceptual familiarity with User Interfaces and relational data.
  • Ability to successfully handle many diverse tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working with management and staff in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to travel as required (less than 15%)
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio) and MS Project.
  • Ability to manage small to medium projects, and support Project Managers without assistance
  • Ability to successfully handle many diverse projects simultaneously.

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or comparable work experience. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • 5 years Business Systems experience, 5 years involvement with software development cycle.
  • 5 years developing and documenting busines
