Our engineering group has needs for Design Engineers (Graduate Engineer) across several disciplines to join their team.  In this role you will have the opportunity to develop skills in report preparation, design calculations, plans and specifications preparation, with an emphasis on personal/career development.

What you will do:

Performs civil engineering design calculations; and develops construction plans using Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D software for transportation projects. 
Is proficient with the use of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D software for use in design and drafting of construction documents.
Works within a team to produce engineering calculations for development of documents that achieve our client’s goals and objectives while meeting schedule commitments and budget requirements. 
Represent the Company in professional, civic and political organizations and activities.
Engage in business development efforts within the Houston MSA on behalf of the Company.
Develop and deepen relationships with current and prospective clients.
Represent the Company in client meetings when required.

Job Requirements

What you bring:

An undergraduate or master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university. 
Texas EIT Certification preferred. 
Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage time and prioritize projects. 
Ability to learn local and state design standards and procedures.
Critical thinking skills.
Complex data interpretation skills.
Adapt new concepts quickly while working under pressure.
MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D software experience
