Summary
The Facility Manager is responsible for daily activities and process improvement in all phases of facility management including production operations, quality control, receiving, and shipping. Responsibilities also include maintenance and groundskeeping.
Essential Functions
- Provide leadership for the successful, safe and efficient day-to-day activity of the team and facility at Grand Marsh.
- Driving continuous culture of internal training on safety to ensure a safe working environment for our team.
- Providing staff feedback and identifying training and development needs and coaching staff as able. Supporting human resource tasks on-site including the on and off-boarding of staff.
- Lead engagement processes at team level to ensure continuous improvement and metric and goals are set and successfully met.
- Oversee production operations for order fulfillment:
- Accomplishes production objectives, product quality control and product consistency standards
- Production safety standards within the manufacturing processes
- Promoting culture of continuous improvement environment and oversight oversee and support of facility improvements and production expansion.
- Coordinate production scheduling internally and in cooperation with partner facilities.
- Responsible for creation of and oversight of production scheduling; adjusting as needed
- Establish and monitor inventory levels to meet production needs
- Support shipping and receiving
- Develop and support the facility budgets while monitoring operation expenses
- Maintain and create documentation related to state and federal compliance of materials on site and facility safety and environmental compliance.
Qualification Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft family and ability to learn new programs [ERP: Acumatica]
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and production methods.
- Knowledge of basic financial management principals related to internal systems and controls
- Effective Written and Verbal Communication [English fluency required]
- Strong Decision-making, Problem-Solving, and Strategic planning abilities
- Leadership including planning, organization, and communication
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn, adapt and demonstrate innovation and dedication to the team and the customer.
Education And/Or Experience
- Associates degree or higher in Agri-business, Agronomy, Business Administration, Manufacturing Engineering; or 4 plus years' experience in related production operations and management.
- Experience with production processes, manufacturing equipment, and chemical batch manufacturing.
- Background in agriculture, fertilizers preferred but not required.
Physical Abilities
- Forklift Certified preferred but not required
- Must be able to walk, stand, lift (75lbs or more)
- Must be able to wear all required PPE
Equipment And Machinery
Gas/Air/Electric pumps, forklifts, ladders, hoses, tractors, skytrek, skyjack, catwalks, general hand tools, agitators, mixers, scales, pH meters, specific gravity cups, valves, camlock couplers, y-strainers, sweecos, and decanters are a good example of everyday equipment and machinery you may work with or around on a daily basis.
Work Environment
The work environment is indoor/outdoor during all weather conditions. Work is performed around moving machinery and equipment, noise levels vary depending on what equipment is being worked around.
Salary: $70000 - $85000 per year
