Bio-Techne’s Diagnostic Reagents Division has been providing essential products to the in vitro diagnostics industry for over 40 years. We supply quality controls and reagents for clinical laboratory and point-of-care testing, along with custom products to other companies serving the IVD market.

 

The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for achieving successful implementation of multiple programs, and managing all activities required to define, design, develop and deliver critical new products.  In this role you will be responsible for building and maintaining mutually beneficial, long-term relationships with complex key Bio-Techne customers. You will provide guidance to cross functional teams on new product introductions, to ensure product manufacturability, and deliver a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.  The Senior Program Manager has accountability for meeting revenue and profitability goals established for assigned customers through effective negotiations, as well as using their selling skills to grow the business through implementation of new products, services, and annual price increases.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage revenue, budgeted expenses, profitability, and schedule of component projects while ensuring ultimate success of the program.
  • Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources leveraging team inputs and strengths.
  • Provide guidance to transfer and commercialization resources to manage new product launches and project specification directed toward strategic business objectives.
  • Resolve project team issues and facilitate decision making within the team. Drive progress to completion to the required standard (both internally and with the customer).
  • Implement process improvements and chargeable service revenue that works to reduce overall supply chain costs.
  • Maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives.
  • Make recommendations to modify programs to enhance effectiveness toward the strategic intent.
  • Develop high-value, long-term profitable customer accounts through relationship building sales and marketing techniques, serving as primary contact for key assigned accounts.
  • Ensure continuity of the relationship with assigned accounts and operate at the highest level in the accounts’ organizations; facilitating the executive level interfaces between the company and the accounts to generate additional revenue.
  • Seek and maintain active contact with key customers regarding current and future product requirements to ensure satisfaction during product development or transfers from feasibility through delivery.
  • Monitor and recommend new pricing strategies, based on competitive landscapes and market trends to ensure profitability and growth of core business.
  • Communicate complex new or revised customer requirements and any other important account updates to appropriate levels within the organization.
  • Pursue customer activities consistent with contractual obligations and requirements.  Manage contract sign off and renewal process to ensure annual price increases are secured.
  • Present status reports on current program unit sales and customer forecasts to provide guidelines for manufacturing, and production planning.
  • Develop strategic market plans for specific customers, including competitive analysis, sales forecasts, budgets, objectives, and recommended tactics for long range decision making.
  • Prepare and present customer Business Reviews to customers and account reviews internally.
  • Follow all company policies and practices as outlined in all company SOPs and other documented resources, including but not limited to the areas of ethics and safety, and complies with any applicable government statutes and regulations.
  • May be assigned PM to manage all aspects of RNA Medical which include but are not limited to product launches, costing, forecasting, marketing, documentation changes, inventory management, and customer relationship.
  • Ensure internal documents are released and up to date to support customer requirements.
  • Attend trade shows as needed and to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Train, Manage, and mentor assigned personnel or department.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience in a related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong aptitude in product, customer, sales, and financial analysis which will lead to defining successful strategies and launching products.
  • The ability to successfully manage multiple complex programs in production at one time .
  • Highly motivated and creative with demonstrative interpersonal & organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to clients’ needs.
  • Effective presentation and sales skills especially over the telephone.
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity across business functions to ensure optimal product offering, promotion, and support.
  • Skilled in identifying and professionally resolving complex, escalated issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and process management.
  • Proficient in the use of computer and mobile applications and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Teams, CRM Salesforce.
  • Ability to analyze and provide qualitative insight for business recommend/solutions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel (while complying with all pandemic related federal, state and company guidelines) to support business needs.  10%-15% overnight travel possible.
  • Strong customer service skills; with a proactive and responsive approach to client’s needs.

 

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Remain seated in a normal position for extended periods of time up to 8 hours.
  • Walk, stand, and move about at various times in the workday.
  • Reach up and out with hands and arms.
  • Talk and hear, verbally express information.
  • Keyboard, 10 keys for extended periods.
  • Repetitive motion; hands.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds and carry at a distance of 10 feet.
