Summary
Work in conjunction with Outside Sales Team to achieve sales growth goals and maintenance of existing/new Empire Genomics clients within assigned regions.
Essential Functions
Work in conjunction with Outside Sales Team to retain current business and attain sales growth target within assigned territory for reagents/instrumentation.
Work with and support Outside Sales Team to increase revenue through prospecting, building a sales pipeline, and closing business.
Provide timely and effective sales, service and support via phone and e-mail communication to ensure routine client satisfaction.
Interface with Sales Management, Marketing, Education, R&D, Technical Support and Field Applications Team to assist in securing new business opportunities, ensure proper client training, and resolve client issues.
Adhere to “in office” hours and “prime call time” schedules as directed by Regional Sales Director.
Participate in tradeshows, seminars, and workshops as required.
Work effectively with Sales Management and fellow employees to achieve goals and ensure client satisfaction.
Ensure client information is recorded and maintained Sales Force.Com
Timely and routine client communication regarding product backorder and discontinuation status.
Qualify all sales leads, allocate as appropriate, and drive leads through the sales process by initiating face-to-face appointments with the Outside Sales team.
Routinely meet or surpass daily, weekly, and monthly phone and email communication goals.
Adherence to all Biocare Medical policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree with two to five (2-5) years of demonstrated success with Capital and/or Consumable Sales within Life Science/Medical field required.
Working knowledge of Molecular Genetics, Cytogenetics preferred.
High level of written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced computer skills. Experience with MS Office preferred.
Capacity and initiative for continual self-education (following initial corporate training sessions) in order to facilitate self-improvement and goal achievement.
Effective presentation/public speaking skills.
Strong Internet research skills required.
Experience in medical/life science/laboratory capital equipment/consumable sales preferred.
Experience with Customer Relations Management Software programs preferred.
Compensation Range
$60,000 to $70,000 Annually (plus commission)
Expected Hours of Work
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. This position may require extended weekday or weekend hours depending on business needs.
