ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Electronics Technician at Biofire, you will be responsible for the development and testing of Biofire's high-speed mixed signal and developing new generations of technology to support our product. To succeed you will need to be self-driven, obsessed with the details and comfortable operating in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.
You will be operating in a hands-on lab environment and contributing to embedded design concepts, circuit simulation and design decisions for our product. You will be expected to bring a passion for solving novel problems, proactively engaging with your colleagues across engineering to drive to the very best solution and rigorously pressure test the status quo.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Day to day responsibilities of the role will include:
- Hardware testing and assembly;
- Complicated rework;
- Microscopic soldering - VERY small pitch and size;
- Steady hands are required to be successful;
- Proactive collaboration with the embedded hardware and other subsystem teams.;
- Operates with a very high sense of ownership and accountability while performing ALL assigned tasks;
- Must be very flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creation of cables and/or project box assemblies;
- Flexibility to work cross functionally - as needed by team/company

LOCATION AND HOURS
Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver. Most roles require team members to frequently collaborate in person, but you will enjoy the flexibility to work from home when you need to. We trust you to communicate with your team to make things work.
