BioFlorida is a non-profit life sciences membership association that creates initiatives to provide a strong business climate for the advancement of innovative products and technology that improve lives and promote economic benefits to Florida. Our members span BioPharma, MedTech, Digital Health and Health Systems sectors. For 25 years, BioFlorida has grown the state’s life sciences ecosystem through advocacy efforts, networking programs and providing resources to support our members.
As a non-profit with a small staff, we are looking for a full-time Office Administrator who is comfortable running our office independently and creating streamlined processes when identified.
Responsibilities:
Office Administration & Operations: Cover office phone, provide staff support (calendaring, scheduling), office supply management, storage unit management, mail management
Financial Support: Invoicing, accounts payable, collections
Membership: Support organization of member management system, website and member programs. Answer and allocate member inquiries/requests in a timely manner.
Events: Supporting the execution of 30 statewide events through registration support, payment processing/tracking, committee support
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years in operations/office management position in nonprofit, life sciences or related field
· Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
· Knowledge of financial reporting
· Intermediate knowledge and experience with member management systems, website backends, marketing software and Microsoft Office
· Strong affinity for customer service
· Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Independent worker and takes initiative
· Ability to prioritize tasks, working toward shared common goals
· Life sciences knowledge, education or experience a plus
This position is remote but based in the West Palm Beach Area and you must have the ability to travel within Florida 4-6 times per year as needed.
