Lab Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain lab
    • Organize test equipment
      • FDA certified/calibrated separated from normal daily use equipment
      • Solder/rework station for test jigs/benches/beds and repairs/modifications to devices
      • Inventory equipment in lab
      • Procurement of test equipment/hardware
    • Certifications
      • Keep lab equipment up to date
      • Track certification/calibration schedules
    • Lab processes
      • Etiquette/rules
      • Reservation system for sharing equipment
      • Lab infrastructure development (cable drops, VLANs, etc.)
    • Equipment configuration/maintenance
      • Software configuration and updates (e.g. for Nutaq Pico LTE)
      • Device configuration (e.g. upload new firmware to Everion )
      • Test benches/beds (e.g. NUC boxes)
    • Experience using software tools
      • JLink/JFlash
      • Teraterm/PuTTy
      • Nordic tools
      • Linux
      • Git

Experience

  • FDA/medical devices
  • Building labs from the ground up
  • Software tools used for inventory maintenance, firmware upgrades, equipment update/maintenance, etc.
