POSITION SUMMARY
Human Resource Generalist will support and administer human resource policies, procedures, and programs in the following areas: team member requisition creation and onboarding, employee relations, status changes, headcount budget management, leave of absences, ADA, and Worker’s Compensation.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of Biomerieux Quality System.
- Complete personnel transactions, accurate entry and maintenance of human resource information system data and reporting and analysis of HR metrics.
- Manage worker’s compensation claims.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
- Work with payroll to reconcile pay-related data.
- Manage annual headcount budget in conjunction with HR Manager & finance partner.
- Effectively respond to employee concerns.
- Assist HR Manager with employee relations issues/investigations.
- Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, and enforcing adherence to requirements.
- Assist HR manager in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Perform work with minimal supervision. Handle moderately complex issues and problems. Defer and work with HR manager on more complex issues.
- Advise and support managers with human resource projects and initiatives.
- Perform project work and other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 2 years of HR generalist/expert experience required
- Attention to detail
- Intermediate computer skills

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate are essential.
- Must have solid oral and written communication skills and ability to present to an audience.
