Biopeptek Pharmaceuticals is seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for 3 small related companies to Biopeptek (less than 15 EEs). All of these companies are in Malvern, PA. You will work closely with executive management to develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's growth and financial objectives.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable (few), & accounts receivable (lots)
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Manage and monitor the company's financial performance, making recommendations for improvement
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
- Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings (we have an external CPA)
- Collaborate with executive management to develop and implement financial strategies and plans
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team (1 Accounts Receivable Associate, 1 (shared employee) who does some Accounting Associate work). You will also likely need temporary team members to clean up the books for all 3 companies and we have no problem with providing you with that support. After everything is cleaned up, you will likely not need more than 1 additional PT or FT staff to add to the team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with preferred experience managing employees
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and proficiency in financial reporting
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
